Unusual Meeting Venues

Unusual meeting venues are ideal for events that need to be memorable, different, inspiring or motivational.  They are especially good for reward days, or for team bonding, social or networking events.  In fact, they are perfect for any sort of event where the experience is perhaps of greater importance than the content or learning outcomes.  By taking people away from a traditional meeting or dining setting, you give them a shared experience and hopefully a story that they will remember long after the event has finished; this is great for building a culture within an organisation.

'Unusual venues' is something of a catch-all phrase to encompass any sort of venue that isn't covered in one of the other sections to the left.  Increasingly, locations are recognising that 'conferencing and events' is potentially a secondary revenue stream that they can exploit, so you will see meeting facilities advertised at theme parks, cinemas, theatres, stately homes, musuems, bars and even in village shops!  Each has its own benefits and, by understanding your objectives, SOS will be able to advise you on which best suits your event.

Sundial Group even has its own 'unusual venue' of a sort.  Our Chudbus, the 1960s Routemaster we use in our promotions at certain exhibitions and trade shows, has been kitted out as a meeting room and features a large-screen LCD panel with DVD and Laptop connectivity.  The top deck is even a coffee lounge!
